Hosted by Serbia, Italy and Philippines during 5-10 July, the 2016 FIBA Men’s Olympic Qualifying Tournaments began today. Turkish Basketball Team lost 69-77 to Canada in the first match of Group A at Mall of Asia Arena in Manila, the capital of Philippines. With this result Canada becomes the leader of Group A with 2 points, Turkey second with 1 point and Senegal in third place haven’t played any matches yet.
The schedule of the group matches in Manila are as follows;

The top two teams from each group (A and B groups in Serbia, Italy and Philippines) will match-up in the semi-finals on 9th of July, Saturday. There will be a one-day break on 8th of July, Friday. The winner two teams of the semi-finals will advance to the finals on 10th of July, Sunday and the last team standing will go to the Rio 2016 Olympic Games. The three countries to qualify for the Rio 2016 Olympic Games will be determined at the end of the Tournaments,
