The 52nd Presidential Cycling Tour of Turkey (TUR) ended with the eighth and last Marmaris-Selçuk (201,7 km) stage. Portuguese Jose Gonçalves from Spain’s Caja Rural-Seguros RGA team won the 52nd Presidential Cycling Tour of Turkey with his 32:31:35 overall time. The Portuguese cyclist who kept the turquoise leaders’ jersey for the last two stages of the TUR and became the leader in overall ranking. Spanish David Duran Arroyo from the same team placed second and Kazak Nikita Stalnov from Astana City took the third place. Caja Rural-Seguros RGA became the champion at teams’ category as well.
The stage winner of Marmaris-Selçuk stage is Jakub Mareczko from Italy’s Southeast Venezuela team where Sacha Modolo from Italy’s Lampre-Merida team placed second and Paiva Francisco Ramon Chamorro from Brazil’s Funvic Soul Cycles-Carrefour team became third. Turkish Ahmet Örken from Torku Şekerspor finished the stage in the fifth place.
Manuel Belletti from Italy’s Southeast Venezuela team won the green sprinter’s jersey, Przemyslaw Niemiec from Italy’s Lampre-Merida team took the red mountains jersey and Luis Mas Bonet from Caja Rural-Seguros RGA took the white Turkey’s Beauties jersey.
During the tour that has started on 24th of April in Istanbul, the cyclers passed through Kapadokya-Kapadokya, Aksaray-Konya, Seydişehir-Alanya, Alanya-Kemer, Kumluca-Elmalı, Fethiye-Marmaris and Marmaris-Selçuk stages respectively.
