Turkey have secured another silver and two bronze medals, making their total medal count six at the second edition of the European Games!
Day six started off strong with Yeşim Bostan qualifying for the archery semi finals after defeating her German opponent 145-139.
Yeşim Bostan then took her first bronze and fourth medal for Team Turkey in a really competitive semi final match, after she was defeated by her Slovenian rival.
In badminton, Emre Lale took his second win in the groups and advanced to the next round, where he will continue to compete on day seven of the competition.
National shooting athlete Özgür Varlık place fifth in the 25m rapid pistol qualifications, advancing to the finals and booking his place at the Tokyo 2020 Olympic and Paralympic Games!
Wrestler Süleyman Atli defeated his Ukrainian opponent Taras Markovych 12-9 in the 57kg, taking Team Turkey’s fifth medal and his first bronze medal!
Soner Demirtaş also bagged a silver medal in the wrestling freestyle -74kg, taking Turkey’s total medal count up to six on day six of the European Games!
On day seven, we will see Team Turkey compete in archery, badminton, canoe, cycling, gymnastics, shooting and wrestling. Good luck to all our athletes!
