Team Turkey on Day Three of EYOF 2019

On the third day of the European Youth Olympic Winter Festival, Team Turkey competed in the biathlon, figure skating, curling and alpine discipline.

Figure skater Alperen Özkan finished in 9 th place in the short program and will compete in the free program today. Good luck!

Güzide Irmak finished in 25 th place in the figure skating short program, but did not qualify to the next stage.

In the 19km biathlon girls’ race, Zeynep Elif Durlanık finished in 55 th place, Mine Kılıç in 69 th , Ayşe Kübra Canlı ranked 72 nd and Lavin Ören finished in 73 rd .During the men’s 12.5km individual biathlon, Abdurrahim Duman completed the race in 59 th place, Harun Şenaslan in 73 rd , Cihan Kartal in 77 th and Eyüp Arslan ranked in 85 th place.

Figure skater Alperen Özkan finished in 9 th place in the short program and will compete in the free program today. Unfortunately, Güzide Irmak finished in 25 th place and did not qualify to the next stage. Turkey’s curling team sadly lost 10-4 to the Czech Republic in the morning and was defeated by Austria 8-2 in the afternoon.

In the girls Alpine Discipline race, Peri Tüfekçi finished in 59 th place, Fulya Yucel in 62 nd and Yael Sadioglu finished in 67 th place in the big slalom.

On day four of the European Youth Olympic Winter Festival, Team Turkey’s young athletes will compete in figure skating, alpine skiing and cross-country skiing.
