The 2nd Level Coaches Course Trainer Training for Tennis Coaches was held in Ankara, within the framework of the Coaches Development Seminars and Support Programmes conducted by the Turkish Olympic Committee (TOC).
The course was held between 21 - 29 September 2022 with the support of the International Olympic Committee's (IOC) Olympic Solidarity and cooperation between TOC, the International Tennis Federation (ITF), and the Turkish Tennis Federation (TTF).
Before the seminar was organized, TTF officials and ITF European Development Trainer Hrvoje Zmajic came together in order to discuss the most effective coach training system which meets all the requirements of today's coaching level.
The training program was prepared by identifying the points needed for the development of tennis in Turkey.
The 22 trainer trainees and participant trainees had the chance to improve themselves with theoretical and practical lessons such as advanced training modeling, technical and tactical training planning, and then reinforce what they learned through evaluation meetings and feedback on their own performance.
Özge Aktepe, one of the participating trainer trainees, said: "Thanks to these trainings, we will be able to train coaches with the same training standards. Thus, they will be able to train more successful athletes."
The TOC provides financial support of USD 30,000 for the Trainer Training for the 2nd Level Coaches Course and the 3rd and 4th level trainings to be organized in the future within the framework of the Coaches Development Seminars and Support Programs.
