European Olympic Committees (EOC) Coordination Commission completed their inspections in Erzurum, the host city of upcoming 2017 European Youth Olympic Winter Festival (EYOWF), on 5-6 March 2016.
EYOWF 2017 Coordination Meeting on 5 March 2016, Saturday at Palan Hotel was attended by EOC Coordination Commission members Linney Halldorsdottir, Leo Kranz, Florin Misca and Katerina Nycova, General Director of Sports Mehmet Baykan, Erzurum Deputy Governor Ayhan Terzi, Metropolitan Municipality Secretary General Zafer Aynalı, Provincial Director of Youth Services and Sports Fuat Taşkesenligil, Head of the International Events Department at the General Directorate of Sports Ozan Çetiner, Provincial Director of Higher Education Credit and Hostels Institution Salih Kaygusuz, President of Turkish Ice Skating Federation Dilek Okuyucu, President of Turkish Ice Hockey Federation Bülent Akay, President of Turkish Skiing Federation Erol Yarar, Technical Delegate of Turkish Curling Federation Ahmet Çelebi, Atatürk University Deputy Secretary General Assoc. Prof. Dr. Savaş Eğilmez, Erzurum Technical University Deputy Secretary General Levent Çakmur together with Turkisch Olympic Committee (TOC) Executive Board Member Perviz Aran and TOC Executive Board Coordinator Kübra Yıldırım.
EOC EYOF Manager Mrs. Katerina Nycova and Dept. Head Ozan Çetiner made presentations at the meeting and the delegation visited the campus of Atatürk University, Kandilli Cross-country, Biathlon and Kiremitli Tepe Ski Jumping venues. The inspections visits completed on 6 March 2016, Sunday with Speed Skating, Ice Skating, Curling, Ice Hockey Venues, Kazım Karabekir Stadium, Konaklı Alpine Skiing and Palandöken Snowboard venues. EOC Coordination Commission members took information from the authorities of the Ministry of Youth and Sports, Turkish Olympic Committee (TOC), Governorship, Metropolitan Municipality, Higher Education Credit and Hostels Institution (CHI) and related federations on their inspections to the venues.
The inspection of Erzurum came to an end after the meeting held between EOC Coordination Commission members and federation delegates together with venue managers.
