Executive Board members and
journalists were among the peo-
ple who joined President Gül at
the event.
Reiterating the significance of the
Races, run, in promoting the coun-
try across the world, President Gül
expressed his pleasure at hosting
the event at the Presidential Palace.
Pointing out to the fact that the
Race is run in the most beauti-
ful coasts and cities of Turkey for
eight days President Gül said: “
With
the cooperation between Turkey’s
TRT and Eurosport, world’s televi-
sions will broadcast the Tour live for
two hours every day. Additionally,
Eurosport will broadcast a summa-
ry for an hour every day. I cannot
think of any better way for the pro-
motion of Turkey.
”

verdi. Bakan Kılıç, turla ilgili ola-
rak,
“Emeği geçen herkese teşek-
kür ediyorum. Gerçekten ülkemi-
zin tanıtımı için önemli bir orga-
nizasyon oldu”
dedi. Bakan Kılıç,
“Aldığımız geri dönüşler de olumlu.
Bütün katılımcıların gayet mem-
nun ve mesut oldukları bir orga-
nizasyon oldu. Türkiye’de bin 200
kilometreyi aşkın pedal çevril-
di. Türkiye’nin birçok farklı güzel-
likleri dünyaya tanıtıldı.”

Turu öncesi 11 Nisan günü
Cumhurbaşkanlığı Köşkü’nde
gerçekleşen tanıtım organizas-
yonunda ise Cumhurbaşkanı
Abdullah Gül de bisiklete bin-
di. Cumhurbaşkanı’na, Gençlik
ve Spor Bakanı Akif Çağatay

Gül, turun sekiz gün boyun-
ca Türkiye’nin en güzel sahille-
rinde ve şehirlerinde yapıldığı-
na işaret ederek,
“Dünya tele-
vizyonları TRT ve EuroSport’un
işbirliğinde günde iki saat can-
lı olarak bu turu veriyorlar.
Ayrıca her gün EuroSport’ta en
azından bir saat özetler sunu-
yor. Dolayısıyla Türkiye’nin ta-
nıtımını bundan daha güzel ya-
pan başka bir şey düşünemiyo-
rum”
dedi.
Müftüoğlu, President of Turkish
Cycling Federation were present
during the medals ceremony held
at the finish area. Minister of Youth
and Sports Çağatay Kılıç presented
the awards to the winners. Minister
Kılıç commented on the Tour and
said “
I thank all those who are re-
sponsible for this organization. It has
been a very significant organiza-
tion for the promotion of our country.
All feedbacks about the organiza-
tion were positive and all the partic-
ipants were very pleased and hap-
py. Riders pedalled over 1.200 kilom-
eters in Turkey. Many different beau-
ties of Turkey have been promoted to
the world
.”
