On day 7 of the 2nd European Games in Minsk, Turkish athletes advanced in wrestling, badminton, and gymnastics.
In wrestling, Bediha Gün lost 6-2 to his Bulgarian rival Mimi Hritova in the -57kg semi-final however, advanced to the bronze medal match on day eight!
Evin Demirhan also advanced to the bronze medal match, after he was defeated 6-1 in the semifinals.
Artistic gymnasts Ferhat Arıcan, Ibrahim Colak Halkada and Ahmet Onder all advanced to the finals, after successfully excelling in their sports!
Neslihan Yiğit defeated her Slovakian opponent, advancing to the badminton quarter finals!
Turkey’s bow archer Evren Çağıran finished in 5th place overall and classical bow archer Mete Gazoz was defeated in the last 16 laps.
Hilal Avcı finished in 7th place in the 500m B Finals with a time of 11.248 and finished 16th in the overall standings.
In canoeing, Serkan Kakkaç finished in 9th place in the K1 200m B Finals with 40.238 point, placing 16th overall in the general classification.
On day 8, we will see Team Turkey compete in athletics, badminton, gymnastics, shooting, boxing and wrestling. Good luck to all out athletes!
